Folk musical instrument of Rajasthan The "khartal" folk musical instrument of Rajasthan is made of sheesham wood in brown color. The khartal is a 2 pair (4 piece) of lightweight rectangular wood. The name comes from the Hindi words ‘Kara’ means hand and ‘tala’ means clapping or rhythm.
